Brass Racing was set up by Jerry De Weerdt in 2011 when Jerry started racing a Viper RT/10R in the Belcar championship. Until that time, Jerry had been active privately in historic racing but when the opportunity presented itself, he made the step to more modern cars. In 2012, Brass Racing invested in a Viper GT3, built by Grasser Racing in Austria, and the team was expanded with more professional equipment and professional mechanics. That year, Brass Racing participated in the Supercar Challenge in the GT Division where the best result was a second place in Zolder. They moved on tho the Belgian GT Championship in 2013 and 2014.
After tasting Euro Nascar in 2013 with Gonneau Racing and in 2014 with PK Carsport, Brass Racing decided to switch to the European Nascar series entirely. From 2015 on, Brass will enter their own Mustang Nascar with potentially a second one in 2016.
